On the lead up he was there to offer advise and guidance, and on the day he made sure everything went smoothly and my husband and I didn't have to be involved. Nobody can predict the future of Weddings and Events

Hi Everyone,

How are you ?
Hope you are all keeping safe and well.

I just wanted to share this blog post with you, and ask for your comments also, which can be done by leaving a reply at the bottom of this post.

 Covid-19 has certainly made a huge impact and has brought very distressing times to the hospitality sector for both clients and industry professionals. We have seen, clients being out of pocket due to no fault of there own, very few client who took wedding or events insurances ( Some were also giving indemnities for pandemics if taken out prior to this episode) , controversy over contracts, venues and suppliers going into liquidation, and most importantly social distancing has brought our whole industry to a stand still with only exceptionally small weddings being allowed at present for up to 10 people. 

Clients and Industry professionals are tearing there hair out, waiting for the government to give further clarity as to when things may resume. I would love your responses to this all important question.  The questions being at present are........ When ? How ? What If ?

If I had to give a point of view on this, I would say....

Weddings and Events will not be back in full swing until the beginning of the year, I know it is hurting us all, however I feel we need to follow the government guidance being given. There is a lot governing around social distancing which I feel in this current crisis is for the best, and I believe we will see a lot of changes in this area in the future.

What does the future hold for the Industry ?

What are your views on this matter...

My views are there will be a lot of changes, which I feel will be for the very best. I feel venues will need to adapt and may need to be more flexible with clients, I feel wedding and events insurance to cover family deaths and venue and supplier liquidation and more will become mandatory for anyone holding a special occasion at a venue. I feel many in the industry have also been very stayed for a long time, and I would like to think that people can move forward with the times.  What may be on the cards is regulation within the industry also, which I feel may be a very good thing. I also feel that venues need to ensure that every wedding or events professional who comes onto there premises including the likes of hair and make up, do declare there insurances at least one to two months prior to the event. I would also also like to see more people supporting each other outside there own networks and being more teamwork orientated with a smile and passion at weddings and events.

I first of all would like to say thank you for taking the time to view my Blog post.

Lets just say 2019 was interesting year. It has been a pleasure to assist such a wide range of different clients, and various different capacities. These Wedding and Events services have included, Toastmaster, Coordination, Consultancy, Auctioneer, Planner, Host, Presenter, Quizmaster, Entertainer and Compere and Games and so much more. I have catered for various types of Weddings and Engagements , such as English, Asian, Jewish, Indian, Afro/ Caribbean, Muslim, Arab, Christian and more. On the Events side of things, I have officiated at many Corporate Events, Gala Dinners, Charity Balls and Award Ceremonies. My services have taken me throughout the United Kingdom, Covering, Surrey, Hampshire, Essex, London, Kent, Bedfordshire, Nottinghamshire, Yorkshire, Manchester, Glasgow, Hertfordshire, Devon and more. Each and every Wedding or Event covered has been a pleasure. For me it is all about teamwork, bouncing ideas of each other, and working closely together with both clients and Suppliers for Weddings and Events. This is what makes the occasion, perfect and memorable. My dedication has brought me 35 Venue Reviews, Many Reviews from Professionals, and over 350 Client reviews.   

I received a very interesting letter, which can be seen on my reviews section, this was from clients, who made enquiries about my Wedding Toastmaster and Coordinator for Weddings Package in Cambridgeshire, they never booked me. However I received a letter from the clients, after there wedding day, which expresses there regret, that they never booked my services.         

My Wedding Celebrant and Wedding Officiant special services, has also been a success, and is growing at a rapid rate, as I not only write the ceremony, I also advise on lots of very unique special and entertaining touches, that will make the Wedding Ceremony even more memorable. I will totally go out of the box, and try to take you on this journey, I ensure there is lots of guest interaction. 

My Wedding and Events Booking Agency, has also been utilised, this year on numerous occasions, with the supply of Horse and Carriages, Circus Acts, Led Dance Floors, Cars for Weddings and Events, Photobooths and more.   

My Venue and Events Consultancy to Wedding Venues and all other Venues, has also been utilised, I have been contacted and assisted on a number of occasion by Venues in order to assist them in ' Sharpening pencils' in order to be the best, and to have the cutting edge, which enables there venue to potentially be a cut above the rest, and gives them lots of ideas on Sales, marketing, dry hire, and how to attract more potential business.  A Professional hand from outside there Venue, has proved to be very beneficial.            

I also helped a large number of clients, with my special consultancy for weddings and events package, this assisted them in the Wedding or Events planning stages, scheduling, organizing, fine tuning, suppliers, writing of speeches and so much more. A professional hand will guide you and help you.

Many clients have combined any number of packages, so i can tailor make the perfect one for them. 

I am really looking forward to 2020 and guiding each and every client with a professional hand, in order to ensure there day will be one to remember. Also I will be making more and more additions to my portfolio. I thrive on new challenges and cant wait.

My name is Jonathan Waterman, I am an award winning, Wedding and Events Toastmaster, Coordination, Planner, MC, Celebrant, Consultant and Booking Agent for all other suppliers and Services. I have been fortunate enough to have catered for every type of wedding, these include, English & European, Asian and Indian, Afro Caribbean, Jewish, Arabic, Greek and Turkish, Muslim, Chinese and lots more. I was also fortunate enough to had been asked to officiate as Chair at the Exito Wedding Planning Conferences in both Dubai and Barcelona. The wedding industry is constantly expanding, with an increasing number of options available for clients choices of Venues, Setting, Catering, Themes, Suppliers and so much more. You can even choose the way you want your ceremony conducted, whether this be traditional in a church / Synagogue/ Mandir/ Mosque or Gurdwara, Civil Ceremony or even and most popular today is your own Personal Wedding Blessing which is conducted by a celebrant or officiant, in your own choice of setting. The choice of Venues available have become immense, again this all comes down to personal choice, do your research before choosing a venue, there are so many available resources to research, whether you are looking for a Hotel, Country House, Restaurant, Village Hall, Castle, Sports Club, Racecourse, Manor House, Trendy Event Space or any other, you really are spoilt for choice. You may even be looking for Dry Hire, Marquee or DIY options, again the options and resources to research are unlimited. In relation to suppliers, whether you are looking for a Toastmaster, Photographer, Video, Décor, DJ or any other, the choices are very large, ensure you do your research and check reviews and testimonials online as well as their insurances, you should always confirm that the supplier has the relevant insurances, a credible supplier would be able to email all of this to you, for your own reference and peace of mind. Each supplier is as important as the next, each are instrumental and play a vital role in the success of the bride and grooms special day.
 
The clients budget plays a vital part in what can be achieved, some clients have larger budgets than others, with the range of venues, suppliers and services as well as the resources available, the clients are spoilt for choice, however be mindful of quality and insurances. Cutting corners can also be a risk, I understand everyone is on a budget, however try not to cut corners of the most vital parts of the wedding day.
